Heirloom Farmer's Market

Early morning customers peruse all there is to offer at The Heirloom Farmerโ€™s Market at Rillito Park, 4502 N. 1st Ave. Next month low-income families using the SNAP card can โ€œdouble their dollarsโ€ for purchasing fruits and vegetables at the market. In celebration of Bike Fest Month, Heirloom Farmers Markets are getting into the spirit with a few April events to honor the occasion.

After Cyclovia wraps up on Sunday, April 2, the Living Streets Alliance will be offering free bike valet at the Rillito Park Farmers Market, 4502 N. 1st Ave.,ย according to an Heirloom news release.

Just ride up on your bike and make sure to mention how far you rode to get any of the bike-friendly discounts offered from vendors around the market.

During the "Bike to the Farmers Market" event on Sunday, April 9, anyone who rides their bike will get a free 16-ounce iced tea from Maya Tea Co., in addition to discounts from other vendors.

The Farmer's Market runs every Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon, with more than 80 vendors selling produce, locally made products, fresh roasted coffee and ready-to-eat food.
