A deputy with the Cochise County Sheriff's street crimes unit made a traffic stop that led to a seizure of heroin, meth and three arrests in Sierra Vista Jan. 18.
The deputy attempted to stop the occupants in a white SUV but the driver briefly failed to yield. The vehicle stopped near 2nd Street and South Canyon Drive.
A male passenger identified as Michael Blume,21, fled from the vehicle and was detained after a short chase.
Methamphetamines, heroin and items of drug paraphernalia were found in his possession. He also had three outstanding warrants for probation violations.
Blume was booked at the Cochise County Jail on seven charges including, resisting arrest, possession of dangerous drugs and prohibited possessor of a weapon, a news release said.
Additionally, the driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Kaylie Rooney and 45-year-old Brian Blume were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rooney was booked in the Cochise County Jail on $10,000 bond and charged with unlawful use of transportation and possession of drugs.
Brian Blume was booked at the jail and released on his own recognizance, the release said.
The street crimes unit is investigating the incident.
