About 3,000 students, grades 3-6, participated in activities at Old Tucson Studios for 2020 Ted Walker Youth Day. Kids searched for gold, went down the zip line, walked through mines, learned from Old Tucson Studios historians and watched the Wild West Shows by actors and stunt men and women.
Ted Walker was a member and chairman of the Pima County Parks and Recreation commission for more than a quarter century. He was instrumental in acquiring and developing the county parks such as Tucson Mountain Park, Colossal Cave and other regional parks.
