Arizona Daily Star employees win 38 Arizona Newspapers Association awards

Several Arizona Daily Star journalists took home a total of 32 awards in many categories at the Arizona Newspapers Association conference on Saturday.
More than 50 newspapers entered the Better Newspapers Contest, for a total of 1,183 entries submitted. The contest measures overall quality of newspapers and the work of individual journalists.
The Star competed against newspapers with a daily circulation above 25,000.
In addition to the category awards, one of the Star's photographers, Kelly Presnell, was named as a Photographer of the Year.
