Community Partners Inc., 4575 E. Broadway, will become the 10th meal provider facility for Mobile Meals of Tucson on May 2.
Formerly the Community Partnership of Southern Arizona, Community Partners has agreed to provide 80 meals per week to Mobile Meals, 4803 E. Fifth St., which currently delivers two medically-prescribed meals a day to nearly 230 people who can’t shop or prepare meals for themselves.
The additional meals mean Mobile Meals can add a delivery route to the 32 it already runs in Tucson, Green Valley and Sahuarita.
Each route is driven by volunteers, and helps people with health or mobility issues or special dietary needs stay in their homes while receiving treatment or care.
Mobile Meals is currently seeking about 20 additional drivers.
