Pima County Department of Transportation crews on Thursday began repairs to a sinkhole that has closed one eastbound lane on East Valencia, just east of South Wilmot Road.
One eastbound lane remains open, according to a news release.
On Thursday, crews began repairing the road by filling the hole with a slurry material. On Friday, the damaged curb will be replaced and paving will occur on Monday.
The lane closure will continue until repairs are completed. Motorists can expect delays in the area during the repair work.
