A 58-year-old woman was killed on a crash Saturday northeast of Tucson, officials say.
About 4:30 p.m. Saturday Cathaleen Pelayo was headed south on North Soldier Trail when she collided with a vehicle traveling west on East Tanque Verde Road, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Monday in a news release.
Pelayo was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the second vehicle, was not injured, the release said.
The investigation continues, but criminal charges are unlikely, the release said.
