The discovery of a body this weekend near Rose Canyon Lake is being investigated as a homicide, officials say.
The body of Malik Brooks, 23, was found about 6 a.m. Sunday just off the Catalina Highway, the Pima County Sheriffs Department said Monday in a news release.
The body showed "obvious signs of trauma," the release said.
No other details were provided.
