A 52-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday evening during an argument with a relative, authorities say.

Deputies were called about 7 p.m. to the 5400 block of South Oriole Avenue, near West Irvington and South Mission roads, for an unknown problem, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Monday in a news release.

They arrived to find the body of Earl Jackson.

Investigators say Jackson was fatally shot when an argument turned into a fight, the release said. Police did not specify how Jackson and Ornelas were related.

Francisco Fernando Ornelas, 27, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and booked into the Pima County jail, the release said.

The investigation continues.
