Tucson police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 69-year-old pedestrian early Sunday morning.

David Vance Selix was crossing East 22nd Street at South Second Avenue about 2:30 a.m. when he was struck by a silver sedan that was believed to be traveling east, Tucson police said in a news release.

Selix was either in, or very near to an unmarked cross walk when he was struck, the release said.

Police are continuing to search for the driver of the sedan that fled the scene after striking Selix.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
