34-year-old Luna Stanton-Sardina was arrested by the Tucson Police Department for a felony charge of aggravated assault Wednesday, May 22.

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested after Tucson police say she fought with a 16-year-old girl at a high school graduation ceremony.

Luna Stanton-Sardina was arrested on suspicion of felony aggravated assault after a fight with a teen Wednesday night during the graduation ceremony at Pueblo High School, Tucson police said in a news release.

Officers working at the ceremony were waived down by others attending the event.

After separating the pair, Stanton-Sardina was arrested on the felony charge and the 16-year-old girl was arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault, disorderly conduct and interfering with an educational facility, the release said.

Minor injuries were reported in the incident.
