A man wanted by the Pima County Sheriff's Department was apprehended Friday night near Arivaca, authorities say.
Deputies had been looking for Vincente Ulate, 46, since the beginning of the month after he evaded arrested Dec. 2, the department has said.
About 8 p.m. Friday, Ulate was taken into custody east of Arivaca after he ran into the desert from a residence, the department said in a news release. Arivaca is about 60 miles south of Tucson.
Ulate was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, domestic violence and a parole violation, the release said.
The department has also previously said investigators want to question Ulate in connection with a homicide case.
