A man entered three closed fast-food early Monday an stole money from their registers, Sierra Vista police say. Police released a surveillance video image in hopes it helps identify a suspect.

A hamburglar who struck a trio of Sierra Vista fast-food restaurants Monday morning was more interested in getting his hands on some lettuce than burgers.

Now police are asking for help from the public identifying a man they say used drive-thru windows to get into the eateries, then break into their cash registers.

The burglar made off with several hundred dollars, Sierra Vista police said Monday in a news release.

The businesses โ€” McDonaldโ€™s, Carlโ€™s Jr. and Wendyโ€™s โ€” were all located along Fry Boulevard, the release said.

Detectives have been collecting evidence, including video surveillance.

The department released an image of the alleged pilferer in hopes he'll be recognized.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective John Papatrefon at (520) 452-7500.
