A 41-year-old man has been arrested in separate stalking cases near the University of Arizona campus, police say.

Henry Yanez III, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of assault, UA police said Monday in a news release.

In the first incident, a woman told police she was approached by a man driving a white Nissan Altima about 3 p.m. Saturday near North Euclid Avenue and East First who repeatedly offered her a ride.

She refused but he was insistent, the release said.

She eventually got away from him by going into a location at Main Gate Square. She left after the car was no longer parked across the street.

In the second incident, a woman told police that a man in a white Nissan Altima who identified himself as "Henry" approached her near North Park Avenue and East University Boulevard about 12:30 p.m. Sunday and grabbed her buttocks, the release said.

Detectives then linked Yanez to both incidents and made an arrest.

Yanez was arrested in June 2015 on one count of misdemeanor assault after UA police said he tried to lure two women into his vehicle, Star archives show. In the 2015 incident, two female students were confronted by Yanez in separate incidents on the same day, where he tried to lure them into his car, UA police said at the time.
