Tucson Police, code lights

A person died as South Tucson police attempted to take them into custody Monday evening. 

The incident occurred near Sixth Avenue and 36th Street, a news release said. Details about the suspect or what led to the incident were not released.

The Pima Regional Critical Incident Team is investigating the case.
