A Tucson man involved in a cross-border narcotics distribution conspiracy has been sentenced to almost three years in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona.

Reynaldo Parra-Villagrana, 27, who pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine on Dec. 18, 2023, was sentenced to 33 months in prison followed by 60 months of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Rosemary MΓ‘rquez last week.

The multi-year investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration revealed Parra-Villagrana had been operating on behalf of a Mexico-based drug supplier.

During this time, he delivered 878.8 grams of pure methamphetamine to an undercover officer in May 2019 in the parking lot of a sporting goods store in Tucson.
