A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Saturday after crashing into a median, Tucson police say.

About 2:45 a.m., Ruben Moses Chavez Lozoya lost control of a 2018 Honda motorcycle and struck a median and a utility pole near East Congress Street at North Toole Avenue, Tucson police said in a news release.

Lozoya was riding "at high speeds" just before the crash, and "was not wearing a helmet, and an empty bottle of alcohol was located in his belongings," the release said.

The investigation continues.
