A 65-year-old man who was assaultedΒ in a shopping centerΒ parking lot earlier this month has died of his injuries.
The victim, Brian Thibedeau,Β was hospitalized, unable to speak with police, since the July 12 attack in the 6300 block of East Broadway, near Wilmot Road. Tucson police were notified of Thibedeauβs passing on July 22 and homicide detectives have since taken over the case.
Tucson police were called to the area whereΒ Thibedeau was found unresponsiveΒ around 3 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital with blunt force trauma injuries.
After the assault, the suspect ran from the shopping center parking lot.
Detective are asking anyone with information about the attack to call 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
