A 44-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday on Tucson's south side, police say.
Manuel A. Avechuco was found about 10:30 p.m. on the road in the 800 block of West Calle Evelina, in a neighborhood just west of Mission Manor Park, Tucson police said in a news release.
He was declared dead at the scene.
No motive or suspect has been identified and the shooting remains under investigation.

There have been 43 homicides in the city so far this year, police say.
