At Mesa Verde Elementary School, signs on the fence included this one:

β€œChristina, we will miss you Love, CDO pirates” The sign included a picture of the little league baseball team on which Christina-Taylor played.

Amphi District spokesman Todd Jaeger said school staff was trying to keep things as normal today. Seven psychologists were on campus, working with staff and students.

Bill and Barbara Cogley, whose 6-year-old granddaughter attends Mesa Verde, visited the campus to give their granddaughter a hug.

β€œI can’t think of a place I’d rather be,” Barbara said.
