A Cochise County constable was arrested Friday in connection to thefts and a fraudulent scheme, police said.

Scott McManaway is facing three counts of theft and one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, according to a Sierra Vista Police Department news release.

McManaway was booked into the Cochise County jail.

During the investigation, police searched McManaway's house, his office and county vehicles he was using in connection with his elected office. Police seized evidence of multiple thefts, states the release.
