The Marana Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding two suspects in the armed robbery of a Giant convenience store.

The robbery took place around 12:45 a.m. Sunday at 4202 W. Ina Road, police said in a news release Monday. Two suspects entered the store and loaded cigarettes into a backpack. The store clerk approached them and they brandished a handgun. They demanded money from the register and the clerk complied.

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes and headed west from the store, police said. The clerk was not injured.

One suspect is described as an African American male about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with a piercing in his lip or tongue. He was wearing a red baseball hat with white writing, a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and gray hi-top tennis shoes.

The other suspect is described as a Hispanic or Caucasian male about 5 feet 11 inches tall, 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jean pants, black and white tennis shoes, and a gray hat with black writing. He was wearing black sunglasses and carried a camouflage backpack.

Police ask anyone with information about the identity of the suspects to call 382-2000 or 88-CRIME.
