Tucson police were investigating the discovery of a man's body found in a garbage can downtown.Β
The body, which is believed to have been there for about a day, was found in the 200 block of South Railroad Avenue shortly after noon Tuesday, said Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.
The neighborhood is south of Broadway and east of South Fourth Avenue.
There were no obvious signs of trauma on the body, Bay said. She said an autopsy will determine the cause of death. The man's identification is not known.
The case is being classified as a suspicious death, said Bay.
Detectives ask that anyone with information call 88-CRIME, an anonymous tipster hotline.Β
