Authorities arrested the man believed to have stolen three cars and 30 sets of keys from a Tucson car dealership.
Detectives with the Tucson Vehicle Theft Task Force arrested Ernesto Garcia, a 20-year-old Tucson resident, in connection with the burglary, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, which administers the task force, said in a news release Monday.
Police electronically located one of the vehicles reported stolen, a 2008 BMW, at a nearby apartment complex. Detectives found the two other stolen vehicles, a 2012 Ford F250 and a 2008 Dodge Ram, in the area.ย
Police surveilling the BMW saw Garcia move the vehicle and arrested him. The 30 sets of keys were recovered.
Garcia was charged with one count of burglary in the third degree for the burglary of the car dealership, three counts of theft of means of transportation, and three counts of burglary in the third degree for the vehicles.ย
Garcia was free on bond for a pending Tucson Police Department auto-theft case involving a firearm and aggravated assault, DPS said. ย ย
