The FBI is investigating an Oro Valley man and his entertainment company in connection to a music concert scheme, authorities said Tuesday.

Agents are seeking the public's assistance to identify persons or entities that advanced monies, goods or services during the past five years to Frederick Stahmer, of Oro Valley, and his company, Frederick Entertainment, Inc., states a news release.

According to federal authorities, Stahmer promoted and produced at least 23 concerts in locations including Tucson, Chicago, Tulsa, Nashville and Las Vegas.

These concerts typically featured performances by 1980s rock bands. The FBI says a number of persons and vendors advanced monies or supplied goods and services in connection with these shows, and were not repaid.

Investigators said they could not provide additional information, but do need to speak to anyone who lost money in connection with Stahmer or his company.

Agents are asking victims of the scheme to call 520-594-2800 or email Tips.Tucson@ic.fbi.gov
