Sheriff's detectives are looking for this man in connection with a theft from a southwest-side Walmart.

A man using a motorized scooter is being sought by the sheriff's department for stealing items from a southwest side Walmart.

In one of the incidents, the man pinned a Walmart worker against the wall with his scooter as she attempted to stop him from leaving the store with items he had not paid for, according to a news release from the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

That incident happened around 2 p.m. July 3 at the Walmart at 2823 W. Valencia Road. Store officials told deputies the man put items in the scooter basket and attempted to leave the store in a gray motorized scooter.

An employee tried to stop him at the front doors and he pinned her against the wall with his scooter. Bystanders helped the woman free herself from between the scooter and the wall.

The man left the store and was last seen westbound on Valencia toward Cardinal Avenue.

He is also suspected of a theft from the same store on July 2, authorities said.

The man is in his 40s or 50s with brown hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a red University of Arizona baseball hat. He was using a gray motorized scoot and seen carrying crutches.
