Tucson police are requesting the public's help in locating a white Volkswagen Jetta linked to a fatal hit-and-run March 18.
The 2011 to 2014 Jetta has significant front end and windshield damage, said traffic detectives Tuesday in a post on the Tucson Police Department's Facebook page.
Detectives are asking anyone, including employees of windshield repair companies, with information to call 88-CRIME.
The pedestrian killed was identified as Conrad Alfonso Iacono II, 74. Investigators determined that Iacono was crossing south to north on East Grant Road, east of North Alvernon Way, just after 11 p.m. Saturday.
Iacono was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Grant. Iancono had reached the curb lane when he was struck, police said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two people performing CPR on Iancono. He was transported to Banner-University Medical Center Tucson where he died from his injuries, police said.
A small dog was also struck half a block west from the hit-and-run, possibly by the same vehicle, according to police.
