Why: For Lorich’s commitment to child safety and welfare. Lorich served the community as a dedicated champion for children and families for 25 years. She encourages insight and understanding as to what truly provides for child safety and what to consider when exhausting all resources to help families during their healing process, Felan wrote in her nomination letter. She showed unconditional dedication to ensuring child safety and healthy families, Felan wrote. β€œHer retirement will be a great loss to the child welfare system but her legacy lives forward in the many lives she has affected,” Felan wrote.
