Several downed power poles and live wires have caused police to close the intersection at East Escalante Road and South Camino Seco, authorities said.
The poles were knocked down in a car crash, Tucson police wrote in an email. It's unclear if the collision resulted in any injuries.
There is no estimate on when the road will reopen, Tucson Police Department spokesman, Officer Dan Lucas, wrote in a tweet.
