Woman killed in crash on I-19 south of Tucson

A woman was killed in this single-vehicle crash that happened about noon when the SUV went off of the interstate and crashed into a concrete pillar for the overpass at the Duval Mine Road exit in Sahuarita, a state DPS spokesman said.

The woman who died Tuesday after crashing into an overpass bridge support on Interstate 19 was identified as Lori Brown.

The 59-year-old Rio Rico resident was driving south around noon when her vehicle drifted into the center median, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The Jeep she was driving struck the bridge support at the Duval Mine Road overpass. Brown died at the scene from her injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
