This Saturday evening's Live Acoustic Venue Association - or LAVA - show at Abounding Grace Sanctuary will feature The Tumbling Tumbleweeds.

The concert will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Abounding Grace Sanctuary, 2450 S. Kolb Road. Doors open at 6:30.

Formed in 2005, The Tumbling Tumbleweeds have won the Academy of Western Artists Will Rogers Award for Western Music Group of the Year and the Western Music Association Crescendo Award for Most Promising Talent.

The group was just nominated for the 2011 Western Music Association Entertainer of the Year Award.

The core founding members are vocalists "Tumbleweed Rob" Wolfskill, "Big Daddy Cade" Parenti and Chris Acuff, with "Babyface" R.J. Mills on guitar and vocals. The group also features Dan Dungan on upright bass and Jesse Olema on fiddle.

As their name suggests, The Tumbling Tumbleweeds are a tribute to the era that gave us singing cowboys such as Roy Rogers and Gene Autry and the great swingtime cowboy band The Sons of the Pioneers.

Tickets for the show are $15. RSVP's are encouraged for this show via email to bonnie@lavamusic.org or 647-3234.
