Hughes Federal Credit Union will give out $10,000 in scholarship money to five local high school seniors.
The credit union is inviting students to apply. Applicants will be judged based on their academic excellence, community service and interest in advancing personal education.
To be eligible, applicants must be seniors in high school who are going to college or trade school in fall 2017 and members of the credit union.
