Canyon del Oro High School’s orchestra students performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City last Monday.

CDO students were selected last May to perform there. They raised $75,000 for the trip.

While they were in New York, the students also got to see the Broadway musical, β€œChicago.” They also met with a CDO alumnus, Adam Boyles, who is a professor of orchestra at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Kiwak, who has worked as a camp director, certified curriculum trainer and co-owner of a private preschool, oversees a state-funded preschool program for the district.
