Southern Arizona students will compete internationally in science, technology, engineering and math competitions.
The following students will compete in the upcoming International Science and Engineering Fair in May:
- Jeremiah Pate of BASIS Oro Valley
- Sloan Kanaski of University High School
- Zeeshan Jawaid of Carpe Diem Collegiate High School
- Edwin Collier Moody V, home-schooled
- Joseph Galasso, home-schooled
- Jenna Allardice of Academy of Tucson High School
- Sanne Casello of Empire High School
About 1,700 high school students around the world compete in the International Science and Engineering Fair. About $4 million would be awarded in prizes, according to the organization.
Two Tucson-area students will attend the International Sustainable World Engineering, Energy and Environmental Project.
They are:
- Amanda Catherine Minke of Immaculate Heart High School
- Leo O’Neill of Tucson High Magnet School
