Students of Sunnyside High School's Biosciences JTED program have recently began extracting DNA from corn from Native Seed/Search to look for genetically modified materials as part of the program. Video produced by Angela Pittenger, Arizona Daily Star.

Students from Marana and Mountain View high schools will provide free printed photo portraits to families on Saturday, Dec. 5.

The event will be at the Desert Son Community Church, 5250 W. Cortaro Farms Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will also be food made by the Joint Technical Education Districtโ€™s culinary students, games and gifts for children.
