Helios Education Foundation has awarded a $400,000 grant to Tucson Values Teachers to bolster its support of educators across Southern Arizona.
This grant will help the group raise public awareness of the importance of a strong teacher workforce and build public will to support and advocate for educators. New programs for the group over the next three years include the creation of a digital teacher platform for collaboration and a scholarship for high school seniors who plan to major in education.
The grant will also enable Tucson Values Teachers to expand its initiatives aimed at addressing teacher retention, recognition and professional development.
