Sunnyside High School is getting $30,000 to support its writing center through a charity.

Fiesta Bowl Charities will present the check to the school Thursday at 9 a.m. at the school's library, 1725 E. Bilby Road.

The school will use the grant money to furnish the writing center with bookshelves, chairs and a glass window, and buy Kindle e-readers and sports books.
