BASIS Tucson North

BASIS was started in 1998; BASIS North, above, is on East River Road.

Students from the Tucson area schools will compete in a science bowl.

Tucson schools that are sending teams to the regional competition, which is a qualifying tournament for U.S. Department of Energy's National Science Bowl, at Arizona State University on Jan. 28 are:

  • BASIS Tucson North
  • Tanque Verde High School
  • University High School

National Science Bowl tests middle and high school students' math and science knowledge.

The winner of the regional competition at ASU's West Campus, 4701 W. Thunderbird Road, Glendale, Ariz., will move onto the national competition in Washington D.C. in late April.
