TUSD teachers, administrators and support staff get star treatment

TUSD teachers, administrators and support staff received star treatment Wednesday during the district’s second annual recognition event.

The Celebration of the Stars event was held at Sahuaro High School. Campus teachers of the year were named along with districtwide winners.

The winners were nominated by peers for their hard work and commitment, said TUSD Superintendent H.T. Sanchez.

“It is important to take time out of each year to celebrate some of the many stars in our district,” he added.

The event once again coincides with national teacher appreciation week.
