Some substitute teachers and Exceptional Education staff will see bumps in their pay this school year as TUSD deals with hard-to-fill vacancies.
Nearly 26% of teacher vacancies went unfilled last year in Arizona, and more than half of the positions were filled by teachers who did not meet the state’s standard certification requirements, according to a survey.
