TUSD bus

TUSD Bus driver John Friedl does his finishing touches on his bus (like closing all the windows, cleaning the inside, and checking the exterior of the bus) at the TUSD bus yard near 14th st, Monday November 13, 2006 in Tucson, Ariz.

Eight school buses were damaged on Tuesday, while parked at Tucson Unified School District's east side parking lot, officials said.

The damage was limited to broken windows, but the rest of the buses in the lot, which is located in the area of East Broadway and South Harrison Road, are being inspected for any additional damage, said district spokeswoman, Stephanie Boe.

It's unclear when the windows were broken and whether the damage was weather-related or vandalism, but the district is looking into the situation, Boe said.

The glass has been replaced and TUSD is ready for the first day of school tomorrow, Boe said.
