Firefighters are battling a fire south of Ski Valley in the Coronado National Forest.
Firefighters responded to the Red Ridge Fire at around 2:15 p.m. Monday to reports of a fire less than one acre in size, said Heidi Schewel, a spokeswoman for the Coronado National Forest. A 20-person crew, one engine and personnel from other area agencies were working on the fire.
The cause of the fire had not yet been determined, Schewel said.
