Anyone who lives in Tucson knows that narrowing down our best food items to a list of 10 is flat-out impossible.
Maybe Food Network writer Jackie Alpers had the same thought, because she's expanded on her last list of favorite Tucson foods and nearly tripled the size of the list.
In her article, "Grub in the Grand Canyon State: The Best Things to Eat in Arizona," Alpers explores 29 of the state's most iconic dishes and where to find them.
The list is comprehensive and far-reaching, including classics like tamales, chimichangas and Eegees' Ranch Fries, and some newer favorites, like Barrio Bread and Tostiverduras (a healthier take on tostilocos.)
Even better, while the list technically covers all of Arizona, each type of food Alpers writes about is available in Tucson. While many of the items have options for Phoenix residents, they'll have to make the drive down south to get some of the best.
Check out the list and gallery here, and tell us what you think. Fair warning though: You probably don't want to delve in on an empty stomach.
