Funeral Mass for retired Monsignor Arsenio Carrillo, 87, set Friday in Tucson

A funeral Mass for retired Monsignor Arsenio S. Carrillo is set for Friday, May 5, at the downtown St. Augustine Cathedral.

Carrillo, a native Tucsonan who served 40 years at the cathedral, died April 26 at his home on Tucson’s northeast side. Carrillo, a former vicar general for the diocese, was 87.

Visitation is set for Thursday, May 4, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. The cathedral is at 192 S. Stone Ave.

On Friday, the funeral Mass is at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Road.

After the burial, a reception will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows at 1800 S. Kolb Road.
