Republican U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani now leads Democratic challenger Kirsten Engel in the Tucson area's 6th congressional district race.
As of Friday evening, Ciscomani leads by 1,560 votes. Vote counting continues.ย
He and Engel, a former state senator, have been swapping leads in their rematch in the swing district, which has voters in five counties including Pima.
Ciscomani narrowly defeated her in the district two years ago to win a first term in Congress.
