The Pima County Board of Supervisors plans to discuss a potential increase to residential sewer rates at Tuesday’s meeting.

The board has delayed the vote three times since January, when county wastewater officials first proposed an increase.

The proposal on the table Tuesday would add nearly three dollars per month to average ratepayer’s bill.

The proposal includes a 3 percent rate increase beginning this year and plans to discuss another 3 percent hike next year.

If approved, the rate increases would go into effect in July.

The average monthly bill would climb to $42.03 with the first rate change and increase to $43.29 if a second increase is approved next year.

The supervisors meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Pima County Administration Building, 140 W. Congress St.
