The Associated Press has declared physician Matt Heinz has won in the Democratic primary in Congressional District 2, defeating former state Rep. Victoria Steele.
In Pima County, Heinz was ahead of Steele by 2,924 votes with 41,546 votes cast as of 10:30 p.m.
With the election server crashing shortly after 8 p.m. in Cochise County, results from the rural county were not available.
