A homeowner in the community of Catalina was hit twice by burglars who were captured on a surveillance camera, authorities said.
Investigators with the Pima County Sheriff's Department are asking the public for help in identifying a man and a woman captured separately on surveillance footage, said Deputy Cody Gress, a sheriff's spokesman, in a release Tuesday, Sept. 12.
In the most recent incident on Aug. 10, deputies went to the 15000 block of North Rugged Lark Drive for a report of a burglary. The neighborhood is east of North Oracle Road and south of East Golden Ranch Drive.
Deputies discovered the victim's vehicles and garage were broken into and various items, including a bicycle, had been stolen, Gress said.
A surveillance camera shows a woman had entered the vehicles just after 2 a.m. Aug. 10.
Deputies also found video showing a man had attempted to break into one of the vehicles about 2 a.m. Aug. 2. The man was scared away by the vehicle's alarm and no items were stolen, Gress said.
The woman is described as white and in her 20s or 30s. She has long hair, a tattoo covering her upper left arm and was seen carrying a satchel.
The man is described as white, and also in his 20s or 30s. He has a thin build and was seen wearing a baseball cap backward, a T-shirt and carrying a backpack, Gress said.
Burglary detectives ask that anyone with information call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tipster hotline.
