A 23-year-old man was arrested Sept. 13 in Sahuarita after police responded to a domestic violence call and were told he fired his weapon twice in separate incidents. No one was injured, police said.

Gabriel Sanchez was taken into custody and booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of three counts of endangerment, aggravated assault, two counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm, four counts of domestic violence disorderly conduct, domestic violence criminal damage, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia, authorities said.

On Wednesday shortly before 7 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Amber Hawk Court to a report of a domestic dispute in progress, according to a Sahuarita Police Department news release.

Officers were told Sanchez was intoxicated and destroying the home. Police also were told Sanchez fired a weapon in the house earlier in the day, and also in the front yard of his house near a relative. The relative disarmed Sanchez.

Police interviewed a witness and a family member. Officers also found a bullet hole in Sanchez's residence. Officers collected firearms from the residence, according to the release.

Investigators ask anyone with information to call the Sahuarita Police Department tip line at 344-7847, or 911 and ask to speak to a Sahuarita police detective.
