One man was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting that wounded a man at a Taco Bell in Sahuarita July 8, police said.

Jesus Rodriguez, 29, was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail July 13 on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, weapons violations and criminal damage, said Lt. Sam Almodova, a Sahuarita Police Department spokesman.

Rodriguez was taken into custody after he was released from the hospital for a stab wound he sustained during the incident, said Almodova.Β

Before midnight July 8, police responded to a Taco Bell parking lot in the 700 block of West Sahuarita Road to reports of a shooting. Multiple witnesses were interviewed at the scene, Almodova said.Β

Investigators learned that during the shooting, a Tucson man was shot and is recovering at a hospital. He was one of two victims in the shooting, said Almodova. He said he could not elaborate because the investigation is ongoing.
